Wolff is a True American Entrepreneur

If you haven’t already clicked on the “Featured Videos” tab on the front of the PRO website today, do it now and watch the latest video profiling Iowa’s Selco Inc. Owner Clark Wolff does a great job explaining the background of his business, which offers traffic control barricades, and portable sanitation services.

As he says in the video, Wolff started the business in Dubuque, Iowa, with 200 barricades and a pickup truck, and built a solid company that employs 30 people and continues to build revenue even through recessionary times. When you’re done with the video, dive into the PROfile story in this month’s magazine. Wolff shares more on how he built the company and gives several tips for growing a small business.

I struck up a conversation with Wolff over the phone a while back, and found him an instantly likeable guy. I never tire of talking to people who take a vision for a business and grow it into something special. Wolff did just that, and he continues to work at it. I think he’s a true American entrepreneur and a tribute to the industry. Congratulations on 38 years in business, Clark!
