Get ready for WWETT!
Thanks go out to all the PROs who visited with me at the Pumper & Cleaner Environmental Expo International last week at the Indiana Convention Center. So many of you shared your stories with me at the COLE Publishing editors’ booth, on Education Day and at the Roundtable Discussions. It was great to hear all of the optimism the 2014 busy season will bring.
You told me about plans to look at new equipment, solidify your staff to cover a growing number of special events that require your services, and ways you are continually looking to diversify service offerings to satisfy the needs of your customers. Mirroring what I’ve been hearing from PROs over the past year, Expo attendees told me the economy is improving, rentals are up, but that challenges remain.
One challenge I heard a lot about is being able to charge fees that ensure profit in a competitive marketplace. This seems to be an ongoing issue, and one we will continue to monitor at PRO. If you have thoughts on the topic, feel free to reach out to me at email@example.com. I also want to hear from you if your company is planning for a unique special event service this summer. We look for interesting events to profile in our On Location feature, so drop me a line if we can talk to you about your latest big contract for service.
Also, I’d enjoy hearing from you if you bought one of the shiny new trucks off the Expo floor. The quality of the rigs was outstanding and it gets better every year. I want to see photos of these new trucks, lettered up and ready to hit the streets for your business. A new truck is something to celebrate for your company, so let me know about it and I’ll put together a PRO Rides feature on your latest rig.
Next year, plan on attending the new, updated Water and Wastewater Equipment Treatment and Transport Show, or WWETT, as it will come to be known. For 2015, the Expo is being renamed to more accurately reflect the industries served by COLE Publishing magazines. Sure, there will be some new and exciting developments for the show, but you’ll still see your favorite vendors and equipment on display.
The 2015 WWETT show will be held at the Indiana Convention Center Feb. 23-26.
