von Drehle Purchases Production Facility

The von Drehle Corp. has purchased assets of the Laurel Hill Paper Co. in Cordova, N.C. The 100-acre property has a 400,000-square-foot facility housing two paper producing machines and six converting lines, with a capacity of more than 50,000 tons a year and the ability to produce 100 percent recycled fiber with up to 100 percent post-consumer content. The facility will be used to support von Drehle’s converting operations in Maiden, N.C.; Memphis, Tenn.; and La Vegas, Nev. The company also owns a paper manufacturing facility in Miami, Fla.
