von Drehle Completes Startup of New Facility

The von Drehle Corp. has completed the startup of a new paper machine at its newly acquired facility in Cordova, N.C. The Metso DCT-100 will produce 9-pound bath tissue. von Drehle purchased the 100-acre, 400,000-square-foot facility and its two paper machines in May. The facility is capable of producing more than 50,000 tons of tissue and towel rolls a year.

United Site Services Names Bruce CEO

Kevin Bruce has been named president and CEO for United Site Services Inc., a provider of portable restroom services, temporary fence, power and storage. He replaces Terry Bellora, who remains with the company on a temporary basis, offering support in acquisitions, transition and industry relations. USS was purchased by DLJ Merchant Banking Partners in 2006. Bruce, who has a bachelor’s degree and MBA from the University of Southern California, has served as a senior officer with several multi-billion dollar corporations.

Wastequip Breaks Ground for New Paint Facility

Wastequip Indiana has broken ground on an 8,300-square-foot paint facility. The building will house an ultra downdraft dry filter paint spray booth as well as an air recycling unit that will re-use heated air. Wastequip’s Indiana location manufacturers the Galbreath brand of hoists, containers, compactors and self-dumping hoppers.
