Keep the Lights On: Solar LEDs for Nighttime Agricultural Operations

Solar LED Innovations has announced immediate availability of Solar Pod Lights for Nighttime Agricultural Operations to illuminate portable restrooms in vineyards and for other farming operations.

“Today more and more produce and grapes are being harvested during the cooler nighttime hours to provide consumers the freshest produce and protect workers from the heat of the day,” said Tom Chorman, CEO and founder of Solar LED Innovations. “The Solar Pod Light provides an ideal solution to fully illuminate portable restrooms and hand-wash stations in vineyards and on farms where portable facilities must remain close to workers.

“The Solar Pod Lights are an all-inclusive solar system, containing solar panel, storage battery and automatic LEDs that go on at night and off in the morning. The entire system is about the size of a hockey puck, so it fits anywhere light is needed.”

The Solar Pod Lights mount on the top of most portable restrooms and provide up to 24 hours light on a single day’s charge. They provide ample light to allow farmers and growers to comply with current Cal/OSHA Title 8, Section 3317 illumination requirements for nighttime agricultural operations. The Solar Pod Lights were developed working with portable restroom operators to provide a green and cost-effective approach to provide light in areas where it is often inaccessible.

Founded in 2008, Solar LED Innovations follows an 83-year family tradition of lighting innovation, and it has become a worldwide leader in unique solar lighting products. The company offers a wide range of products and services designed to provide portable solar lighting solutions. Solar LED Innovations is a Green America Certified Business and a member of PSAI.
