Last week I made some recommendations to get your service trucks ready for duty in cold weather conditions. This week I have a simple question: What truck accessory is indispensible to keep you working in challenging conditions?
Is it heated collars that prevent your lines from freezing when temperatures dip? How about mounted work lights so you can see to stay on the route when the sun goes down early? Maybe it’s chains or ice-melting products that give you traction when you need it most?
Contractors up north face the biggest weather challenges this time of year. But those in the south can also experience freezing rain, icy roads and other hazards that keep winter work interesting. Share your ideas on working in cold weather at editor@promonthly.com and I will post them right here on my blog.
