From the category of stories you wouldn’t believe unless you saw evidence, let’s talk about a group of nutty knitters who find fun in making a cacophony of crocheting – in one extreme case constructing portable restroom cozies. According to the the Streetcolor website, the patrons of the Loveyarns store in Baltimore, Md., got together at an art festival and “yarnbombed’’ two restrooms, completely covering them in colorful knitted artwork. It seems likely from the photo that the effort rendered these two units unusable by the general public. Hopefully the art fair had other functioning restrooms on hand.
This all begs the question: Have you done any artful decorating of your portable restrooms? Has a rogue gang of knitting needle-bearing fiber artists struck any of your units? Or maybe your own yarnbombing event would draw positive attention to your restroom service business?
