The Portable Sanitation Association International recently unveiled two new offerings designed to enhance professional development and industry standards. The first is a mentorship program tailored exclusively for PSAI operator members, while the second is on-demand access to the PSAI Basic Service Technician Training and Certification Exam, available to both members and the public.
Mentorship program for PSAI operator members
PSAI’s mentorship program is an opportunity for operator members to benefit from the wisdom and experience of seasoned professionals within the industry. The program provides a structured environment where new operators or those just looking to take a new step can receive guidance, support and insights from veteran members.
The mentorship program is designed to address various aspects of the portable sanitation business, from operational efficiency to customer service excellence. Selected for their expertise and leadership in the industry, mentors work closely with mentees to identify goals and navigate challenges.
The benefits of mentorship extend beyond individual growth. It’s also one way PSAI is creating community in the industry. We are already hearing great things from both mentees and mentors alike!

On-demand Basic Service Technician Training and certification
PSAI’s popular Basic Service Technician Training Series and certification program, are now available online, on-demand. These offerings are open to PSAI members and the industry at large. While the course is available to all, PSAI members benefit from significant discounts, making this high-quality training more accessible.
Gone are the days of having to take service technicians off their routes to sit through consecutive days of training. Now they can participate in training on a flexible schedule at their own pace.
One advantage of on-demand courses is how easy it makes earning continuing education credits or licensure for states that require it. The training also prepares individuals to take the PSAI Portable Sanitation Professional Certification Exam, a credential approved for licensing in many states. This certification not only validates the skills and knowledge of service technicians, but also enhances their employability and professional career development.
