The Portable Sanitation Association International (PSAI) is promoting the second annual World Portable Sanitation Day (WPSD), which will be celebrated on Aug. 15. The World Health Organization estimates that 2.5 billion people globally – about a third of the world’s population – lack access to adequate sanitation.The PSAI made its WPSD announcement on Earth Day earlier this year to highlight the relationship between portable sanitation and the earth-friendly practices of the industry.
