Pumper & Cleaner Expo: Wednesday

The latest portable sanitation products are on display

Portable restroom operators are out in full force this week at the Pumper & Cleaner Expo, with big crowds at the restroom manufacturers' booths looking at the latest offerings in units, hand-wash stations and other equipment. For example, Indy is one of the only places where you can get a demo of the latest squat-style international restrooms; I got a nice tour of the PolyPortables squat unit on Tuesday. While it's not in demand in the U.S. market, it's interesting to get a world view of the portable sanitation industry.

I will be in the COLE editors' booth, 4028, much of the day today. Please stop by and introduce yourself. I'd like to hear about your company. I'm also on the lookout for companies to cover in upcoming issues of the magazine in our contractor profile and On Location features. And let me know what industry issues you'd like us to explore in the magazine.

It's been a great show so far. If you're reading this and you've never attended the Expo, please consider it in the future. Some of your most professional competitors are here right now, seeing the latest products and attending seminars to improve their businesses.
