In a story that proves hunters will go to great lengths to stay hidden, Texas Game Wardens in Henderson County recently caught a man illegally hunting on private property. He was using a converted portable restroom as his deer blind.
According to a report from KHOU 11, the wardens had been investigating the case since the previous deer season after discovering the unusual hunting setup. However, it wasn’t until Nov. 2, 2024, that they were able to catch the suspect in the act.
The improvised blind, repurposed from a portable restroom, provided the hunter with unexpected concealment, but it wasn’t enough to evade law enforcement. The man was charged with hunting without the landowner’s consent.
