The PSAI International Summit 2024, the organization’s first-ever international conference, marked a historic step forward for the industry.
Hosted in the stunning One King West Hotel in downtown Toronto, this milestone event showcased PSAI’s commitment to becoming more equitable for PROs worldwide and to fostering a global exchange of knowledge and experience.
What You Missed
Highlights included the debut of PSAI’s Professionalism in Portable Sanitation training course and a dynamic lineup of speakers and panels. The team from the Ontario Association of Sewage Industry Services delivered their Spill Response Plan course, and numerous additional training sessions were available. Keynote speaker Sun Gil Kim explored innovative nonsewered sanitation technologies and shared his experience from his time with the Gates Foundation addressing barriers to sanitation worldwide. Leadership coach Richard J. Bryan inspired attendees with strategies for developing extraordinary leadership and succession planning.
Engaging discussions like the “International State of the Industry” and the “Future of Special Events” panels further emphasized the summit’s global focus. In addition to hearing from operators around the globe, we also heard from Live Nation representative Adrian Walker. The warm, collaborative atmosphere was a common theme, as first-time attendee Darla Eberst, owner of Princess Portables in Gainesville, Florida, reflected:
“I’ve never met such nice people. … It was really cool being surrounded by people that do the same thing we do, who were so forthcoming with information, advice and support for each other.”

The PSAI Nuts & Bolts Educational Conference is in Scottsdale, Arizona, Feb. 3-5, and PSAI’s Annual Convention and Tradeshow will return to Daytona, Florida, Nov. 4-6.
