PROs know that a quality hose reel is just as much a productivity tool as it is a means of storage. When a reel is easy to wind and unwind, can withstand tough jobs, and can go longer without needing repairs, operators can focus on the jobs that matter most, without downtime.

The 6100 Series was built for I.D. hose widths of 3/8 and 1/2 inch. Built for heavy-duty jobs, the reel can handle 450 feet of hose at 5,000 psi as well as temperatures ranging from -40 to 250 degrees F. Supporting its pressure rating is a sturdy steel frame built with longevity in mind.
“The 6100 Series is also built with a square-tube, fully welded frame for added strength, and discs are built out of thicker gauge material than most standard reels, and have a rolled edge to provide added stiffness for heavy- duty applications.”
From reel size to service-vehicle mounting to reel types, all Hannay reels are built according to user specifications. According to Wing, the footprint of the reel will vary based on hose size specified and space available on a service vehicle. Optionally, rollers can also be added. Three motorized rewind options are also available – hydraulic, air and electric, which are chosen based on the type of service vehicle being used, Wing says.
Hannay reels are built with fewer maintenance periods in mind, including during use on rugged job sites and weather conditions, but when repairs are needed, parts are both easy to access and replaceable.
“Maintenance is also easy with a Hannay Reel, motors, swivel joints, chain are all easily accessible for lubricating and routine maintenance,” Wing says. “Replacement parts for motors, swivels and chains are readily available so the reel can be repaired quickly and easily so there is no downtime.”
