Robert “Bob” Alexander Williams of Wilmington, North Carolina, founder of Walex Products Co., passed away Friday, Nov. 18, 2022. He was 92.Born in Washington, Pennsylvania, in 1930, Williams enrolled at Washington and Jefferson College at the age of 16 and later attended Penn State for graduate studies in physics. After college he enlisted in the U.S. Navy, serving as a lieutenant for the Bureau of Ordnance and later aboard the USS Tweedy (DE-532). After the Navy, he held technical and research positions at Monsanto Chemical and Burlington Industries.
