The AaquaClean+ is an automated rotating jet-head, freestanding pressure washer designed to save PROs time, labor and money. In fact, AaquaTools owner Steve Buchan says washing is as simple as putting it in the restroom, shutting the door, then coming back to a clean restroom without brushing or spraying.

“It’s an alternative instead of standing in front of an open door to pressure-wash and getting splashback,” Buchan says.

With a flow rate of 4 gpm or greater and up to 2,300 psi of pressure, portable restrooms are cleaned in under three minutes, with full spillages taking the full duration and routine maintenance going faster, according to Buchan. The washer’s jet-head is built with rotating gears that project high-impingement water blasts (cold or up to 180 degrees) that rotate in a 360-degree pattern across a spray coverage of 6 to 10 feet.

“[The gears] create nozzle rotation on a very precise, calculated spot,” Buchan says. “You have a very high-impingement impact, and yet it cleans very thoroughly.”

While the AaquaClean+ is primarily marketed toward standard portable restroom units, Buchan says the washer can also handle larger restrooms such as ADA units and restroom trailers.

“It’s a matter of placement. We have a variety of sizes,” he says.

The AaquaClean+ can be deployed upside-down in the holding tank with a seat cover on top, and after pairing a tee hose connector, PROs can clean the exterior using a pressure washer wand. These options could be a good fit for PROs wanting a comprehensive pressure-washing solution in a small footprint, Buchan says.

“The beauty of our device is that we use very little water in an area where water savings is critical,” he adds.

This year, AaquaTools officially relaunched the AaquaClean product that was originally manufactured in the mid-2000s. AaquaTools specializes in high-efficiency, water-saving cleaning products in the wine and food processing industry, but returned to portable sanitation after responding to a gap in the portable restroom market for automated pressure washers, Buchan explains.

Buchan says the response has been very positive in the PRO market.

“I call each customer back and say, ‘How happy are you?’ Because it is a relaunch and I want to see how happy the customers are,” Buchan says. “The ability to use a low-flow, high-pressure washer has been a real game-changer.”
