Product spotlight satellite ada plus 4

You could always supply an event or job site with individual restrooms, but if you know the job needs standard and ADA options, investing in a good combination restroom trailer saves time on logistics and setup. One of Satellite Suites’ newest floor plans is a versatile choice providing all-season support and water savings for a variety of applications.

“The Satellite Suites’ ADA Plus 4 is ideal for any event or venue, small to large, that requires ADA-compliant restrooms on site, [including] at special events, large store remodels, disaster relief sites and even construction sites,” says Lance Branan, Satellite Suites and Sanitrax director of sales.

The Plus 4’s all-in-one design streamlines transportation and setup on site, further aided by an air suspension system that eases towing, lowering and leveling. The enclosed, spring-assisted ADA platform is similarly intuitive — just lower the platform, snap the ramp in place and then slide in the handrails.

“The entire setup process takes minutes,” Branan says.

The accessible ramp and railings lead to a spacious interior with built-in grab bars, and is third-party certified to meet ADA and California Title 24 requirements.

The 26-foot unit is equipped with four standard stalls and one wheelchair-accessible unit, supplied by a 200-gallon freshwater and 300-gallon waste tank, or the operator can utilize direct water/sewer connections. All five toilets use vacuum technology, which Branan says only expends 1 quart per flush.

“For comparison, standard tank-style toilets use 1-1.6 gallons per flush. The vacuum toilets are also more reliable and hygienic, reducing odors and the spreading of pathogens,” Branan says.

All ADA Plus 4 units include air conditioning and Satellite’s Arctic package, which includes tank heaters, cabin heat and tank insulation, making it ideal for year-round use. The unit itself is built on an E-coated steel frame. Coupled with a gel coat exterior, Branan says the Plus 4 is equipped for decades of weatherproof service.

“The gel coat exterior provides a tough and elegant finish, ready for any upscale event or demanding job site,” Branan says.

With proper maintenance, attention to cleanliness and staying on top of high-touch areas, Branan says the unit was built with longevity in mind.

“For best long-term functionality, we recommend a post-event inspection and yearly winterization. Waxing the gel coat exterior once a year will keep the ADA Plus 4 looking fresh for years.”
