Product Spotlight Satellite Brick Toilet
Satellite Industries Brick Toilet

Portable toilets can provide people with much-needed relief during natu- ral disasters and other events because they do not require any water or elec- tricity to operate. This makes them ideal for areas where traditional plumbing systems may be unavailable due to flooding or destruction of local property.

Satellite Industries’ Brick Toilet models are providing users in those applications facilities with all the comforts of home. The units provide the comfort and familiarity of a traditional home restroom in two models — the Brick Connect and the Brick Traveler. These self-contained, independent solutions are ideal for remote locations, offering easy transport and storage, built-in heating, ventilation and LED lighting for user comfort.

Compact yet robust, the Brick Connect unit features a wall-hung flushing toilet with a macerator pump for effective waste management, comple- mented by a built-in hand-wash basin and small countertop. The technical compartment at the rear simplifies maintenance by offering straightforward connections to water, electricity and wastewater disposal systems. The Brick Traveler is designed for maximum portability with a 100-liter freshwater tank, a 200-liter waste tank and a built-in hand-wash basin. With a capacity of approximately 200 visits, it is perfect for construction sites, remote loca- tions and small events.

“Brick toilets can be used in multiple applications, from disaster relief to events, construction, parks, golf courses and weddings,” says Matthew Jaeger, director of marketing creative, Satellite Industries. “Basically anything that requires an enhanced experience, running water, flushing, heat and air conditioning.”

According to Jaeger, the industry is evolving quickly and there is a grow- ing demand for single station restrooms that provide an enhanced experi- ence in remote areas like golf courses, parks, weddings and events.

“In the construction industry alone, we are starting to see requirements for flushing, hand-wash, hot water, heat and air conditioning in their restroom units,” he says. “This unit is extremely versatile, it can be lifted to the top of high-rise buildings. The mains connection can be daisy chained together so all the units’ waste and water can run through one line.”

The industry has reacted well to the new, enhanced portable restroom options as well. “The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Jaeger. “So positive we are opening up a whole new line at our Satellite Suites manufacturing facility to just build the Brick Toilets.”
